Architectural glass is finished at the edge and at the hole. Chipping at the arris and cracking at the bore are the two failure modes, and both are set by grit grade and bond rather than by machine settings.

Selection Notes
How To Choose The Right Grade
- Full-tooth wheels cut faster but chip more; segmented wheels suit thick glass, continuous rims suit thin glass.
- Resin bond is the finishing stage; metal bond is for stock removal at the edge.
- For drilled holes, grit is set by glass thickness — thin glass needs finer grit to avoid breakout.
