Product Overview
HDY is a monocrystalline diamond micron powder for precision lapping, grinding and polishing of hard and brittle materials. It is produced from industry-standard diamond raw material selected for purity and consistent crystal quality, giving sharp cutting edges, a controlled particle size distribution and stable batch performance.
Every batch is checked so that purity, particle size distribution and magnetic content meet the specification agreed with the customer.
It is suitable for optical glass, sapphire, SiC, ceramics, carbide and other precision components where both removal rate and surface finish must be controlled.

Where a designation appears twice it exists in more than one standard variant — tell us the D50 and range you need and we grade to that specification. Tighter PSD windows, custom cuts and private-label packing are available on request. Non-standard grades can be developed against your sample.
HDY Crystal Form By Grade
Optical microscope images of HDY monocrystalline diamond micron powder at each production grade. All HDY is produced from selected coarse diamond by crushing, shaping, classification, acid washing and drying, so every grade keeps a blocky crystal with sharp, well-defined edges — the shape that keeps a cutting edge alive instead of rubbing a surface flat.

Magnification is 40x for the fine grades and 10x for W20 and coarser. The images are representative of the crystal shape at each grade and are not a dimensional specification — use the grain size chart above for the controlled PSD, D50 and top cut.
