Product Overview
HDN Nano Monocrystalline Diamond Micron Powder is a nano-scale monocrystalline grade. The particles keep the single-crystal structure of a monocrystalline abrasive rather than the multi-layer structure of a detonation powder, at a size where they disperse into a slurry and stay there.
Monocrystalline nano diamond holds a defined edge far longer than a polycrystalline particle of the same size, which makes it the grade to reach for when the finishing step has to hold an edge geometry and not just polish.
Typical use is ultra-fine finishing and polishing slurries, and as an additive where a hard, sharp, chemically stable particle is wanted in a fine dispersion. Tell us the target size band and the medium and we will confirm the grade.
Standard Grain Size Chart
Sub-micron diamond powder is the finest end of the same grading ladder and is where most of the surface-quality risk sits: a single oversized particle sets the scratch depth of the whole batch. Every sub-micron lot is classified by settling and checked by laser diffraction before it is released.
