HDGD Raw Black Diamond Grit is a monocrystalline grade from the HDGD series, produced factory-direct at our own base in Zhengzhou, Henan - the Diamond Capital of China. Standard grain size range: 50/60 - 140/170 mesh. Each batch is checked for particle size distribution before packing, and can be supplied in trial quantities for process validation.

Product Overview
HDGD is raw black diamond grit, screened to a mesh range but not put through the full classification and cleaning route that produces HDGR or HDGNR. It is the lowest-cost form of black grit we supply.
Because it is only screened, the particle size distribution is wider and the non-diamond residue higher than in a classified grade. That makes it unsuitable for precision bond work and well suited to applications that will process the grit further or that are not sensitive to a broad PSD.

Standard Grain Size Chart
Raw black grit is only screened, not put through the full classification, cleaning and magnetic-separation route that produces HDGR and HDGNR. The ladder therefore stops at 140/170 — below that the residue and the spread of the particle size distribution make the raw feed the wrong choice for bond work.

Raw black grit is supplied solely within 50/60 to 140/170 mesh. Finer material is supplied as HDGR or HDGNR, which are fully classified. If the process is sensitive to a broad PSD, ask for a classified grade instead.

Where HDGD Sits In The Crushed Grit Range
Crushed diamond grit splits into two material families. Yellow grit is the RVD type, graded for consistent cutting and used worldwide. Black and green grit is the RVG type, cheaper per carat and normally chosen for cost-driven markets where tool life is traded for price.
