HDYR Crushed Diamond Grit (Type I Yellow)

HDYR Crushed Diamond Grit (Type I Yellow) is a monocrystalline grade from the HDYR series, produced factory-direct at our own base in Zhengzhou, Henan - the Diamond Capital of China. Standard grain size range: 80/100 - 325/400 mesh. Each batch is checked for particle size distribution before packing, and can be supplied in trial quantities for process validation.

Advantage

  • Type I yellow crushed grit — the more closely graded of the two yellow cuts
  • RVD-type behaviour: brittle enough to self-sharpen rather than glaze
  • Low magnetic content and low impurity level
  • Produced by crushing, screening, cleaning and drying from selected coarse diamond
  • Tight mesh ranges from 80/100 to 325/400
  • Ships in 3 working days

Send your workpiece material, target surface finish and order quantity — we confirm the matching grade and sample route within 24 hours.

Overview

Product Overview

HDYR Crushed Diamond Grit (Type I Yellow) is the sharper, more closely graded of our two yellow golden crushed grits. It is produced from selected coarse diamond by crushing, screening, cleaning and drying and supplied in tight mesh ranges from 80/100 to 325/400.

Yellow crushed grit is the RVD type: brittle enough to self-sharpen, low in magnetic content, and low in non-diamond residue compared with black grit. That is what makes it the right feed for resin-bond and vitrified-bond wheels where the bond must release a dull particle before the wheel burns the workpiece.

Typical use covers resin-bond diamond wheels for carbide, ceramic and glass, flexible abrasives and lapping compounds, electroplated burrs, and vitrified bond wheels where the higher diamond strength the ceramic bond needs is still within reach.

Yellow crushed grit is supplied from 80/100 down to 325/400 mesh. Finer fractions are supplied as micron powder (HDY / HDH ladders) rather than as crushed grit. Impact toughness and magnetic content are checked lot by lot — ask for the values on the mesh range you are buying.

Grade Range

Where HDYR Sits In The Crushed Grit Range

Crushed diamond grit splits into two material families. Yellow grit is the RVD type, graded for consistent cutting and used worldwide. Black and green grit is the RVG type, cheaper per carat and normally chosen for cost-driven markets where tool life is traded for price.
