HDGR Crushed Diamond Grit (Black, Grade A)
HDGR Series / Grain size 80/100 - 400/500 mesh / Monocrystalline
HDGR Crushed Diamond Grit (Black, Grade A)
HDGR Crushed Diamond Grit (Black, Grade A) is a monocrystalline grade from the HDGR series, produced factory-direct at our own base in Zhengzhou, Henan - the Diamond Capital of China. Standard grain size range: 80/100 - 400/500 mesh. Each batch is checked for particle size distribution before packing, and can be supplied in trial quantities for process validation.
Advantage
- Black and green RVG-type grit, for cost-driven tool production
- Slim, angular, rough-surfaced particles that fracture readily
- Self-sharpening in service, so the bond keeps cutting without a dress
- Lowest cost per carat of the classified grades
- Supplied across 80/100 to 400/500 mesh
- Ships in 3 working days
Send your workpiece material, target surface finish and order quantity — we confirm the matching grade and sample route within 24 hours.
Product Overview
HDGR Crushed Diamond Grit is the black or green RVG-type grit, supplied across 80/100 to 400/500 mesh. The particles are slimmer, more angular and rougher-surfaced than yellow grit, and they fracture easily.
That easy fracture is a feature in the right application: self-sharpening behaviour keeps a low-cost resin or vitrified bond wheel cutting without a dress. The cost of it is higher impurity and magnetic content and a shorter, less predictable wheel life.
HDGR is normally chosen for cost-driven tool production for markets where price decides the specification. Order it when you need the lowest cost per carat and the application tolerates the life trade.
Standard Grain Size Chart
Crushed diamond grit is produced from selected coarse diamond by crushing, screening, cleaning and drying. Particles are yellow, irregular and sharp-edged, supplied in tight mesh ranges.

Where HDGR Sits In The Crushed Grit Range
Crushed diamond grit splits into two material families. Yellow grit is the RVD type, graded for consistent cutting and used worldwide. Black and green grit is the RVG type, cheaper per carat and normally chosen for cost-driven markets where tool life is traded for price.
| Grade | Colour | Crystal character | Production route | Typical use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| HDYR | Yellow (Type I) | Irregular, sharp, rough-surfaced particles | Crushed from selected coarse diamond, screened, cleaned and dried | Resin and vitrified bond wheels, lapping compounds, electroplated tools |
| HDHR | Yellow (Type II) | Yellow RVD-type material at standard grading | Crushed, screened, cleaned and dried | Resin-bond wheels for medium-soft materials |
| HDGRThis grade | Black / green (Grade A) | Slimmer, more angular particles with a rougher surface | Crushed from selected coarse diamond | Low-cost resin and vitrified bond wheels |
| HDGNR | Black / green (Grade B) | Economy black grade, wider grading tolerance | Crushed and screened | Entry-level tools and consumables |
| HDGD | Raw black | Unclassified raw black grit | Screened only | Further processing and low-cost bond wheels |
